Atlas of the Future is growing. Join the team! We have an exciting new job opportunity for a Barcelona-based digital media content creator/editorial assistant – fluent in Catalan, Spanish and English.

About us ► Atlas of the Future is a joyous resource of hope – an online map of inspirational stories about the people dedicated to solving our biggest challenges to make the world a better place. Our mission is to ‘democratise the future’ so everyone can get involved.

Today, radical change is needed more urgently than ever. The good news is that all around the world people are stepping up: taking action, improving lives and creating supercool innovations – from fishing boats made from plastic bottle waste in Cameroon to urban farms in WW1 bomb shelters.

As more and more ‘FutureHeroes’ dedicate their talent and energy to facing the future head-on, we’re passionate about sharing their stories – and hope our interviews, videos and events will inspire others and light sparks.

About the role ► We are looking for a Barcelona-based person with a passion for ‘the future’ who can create content on topics ‘for good’ – from fashion and food, to climate change and technology, to biodiversity and cities. We are looking for someone who believes in the future, cares passionately for our planet, finds joy in creativity, connections and curiosity – and wants to inspire action with storytelling.

This is a creative role. You need to have excellent research skills in hunting down a great story, be happy brainstorming fun audiovisual formats (for both the site and social media) and have some experience behind a camera and editing. We are looking for someone with an eye for detail and a thirst for knowledge across all sectors. Part of a small team, you need to be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines.

You will work creating content for atlasofthefuture.org – and its social media channels – to help increase reach and engagement. We are looking for someone with a positive outlook, a sense of humour and motivated to make a difference with exciting, impactful and original content in three languages – capturing the fresh tone, personality and impact of the English site.
