Use your creative superpowers to save the world

Impactr
Denmark (Copenhagen)

This fun social video-sharing platform built for young creators makes daily actions easy in the ultimate competition to save the world with collaborative global impact.

The world needs a youth platform for changemakers to unite to take on global challenges. All over the world young people are fighting for the good of people and a planet the next generation can enjoy. But many feel overwhelmed by the size of the seemingly impossible global challenges. Everyone is looking for hope and a platform to connect, collaborate and take easy action.

“Our biggest impact is in enabling the collective power of millions of small, individual actions by everyday people,” – Johannah Mayer

Launching in 2021, Impactr is a global youth-led community that collaborates to engage in small actions for big change in sustainability, justice and climate change. It aims to become the world´s new digital home for youth-led social action that makes sustainability mainstream and shifts the entire world´s spending to trusted social and environmental impact, starting with food, fashion and green energy lifestyle areas: “Our mission is to empower young people to create a better world through small collective action. Because we believe young people are the experts.”

Impactr was created by renewable energy innovator and One Young World Ambassador, Johannah Maher, sociologist and former impact business strategist to the City of Copenhagen, Thomas Bisballe, and entrepreneur Majken Witt. Jo believes that “our biggest impact is in enabling the collective power of millions of small, individual actions by everyday people”.

The video-sharing action app “empowers you to inspire each other to do easy, bite-sized, everyday actions that spark joy and collectively make the world a better place at the same time”. Unlike other passive social media platforms, Impactr makes social and environmental action super-easy, thanks to a unique ‘Action’ button.

With the user-made Actions, you can discover, create and share your sustainable action-videos. Chain re-Action video-replies are linked together in the feed showing a ‘Ripple’ of impact. Each action has an Action Counter.

Meanwhile, ‘Impact Rings’ let you keep track of the actions you take, people you influence and endorsements you gain.

You can also connect and collaborate with like-minded changemakers and use your “creative superpowers” to tackle global challenges using a calendar of daily actions and discover the coolest sustainable brands. It provides a curated place where ethical brands can be discovered.
