Connecting Scotland's fashion community

Sustainable Fashion Scotland

Sustainable Fashion Scotland (SFS) is a community-led venture with the mission to connect the sustainable fashion community in Scotland and facilitate positive change in the industry. The two main aims are: to enable the industry to connect and create a more responsible, sustainable and thriving industry through collaboration; and to encourage more sustainable behaviour by engaging, educating and empowering citizens. The initiative was set up as a response to the fragmented landscape of Scotland’s fashion community and to tackle the global fashion system driven by growth logic and built on exploitation. The current fashion system is unsustainable. Its existence relies on infinite economic growth and consumption on a planet with finite resources. SFS aims to convene and coordinate the individuals and organisations conducting innovative work in this space in Scotland to facilitate collective action and impact towards sustainable transformations and system change.
